A leading healthcare provider in the UK is looking for an experienced Medical & Surgical Procurement Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional ready to take the next step into a managerial role and play a key part in shaping procurement strategies within the medical and surgical sector.
In this role, you will oversee a small but dynamic team and take the lead in driving procurement activities to ensure the supply of high-quality products and services. Your expertise in medical or surgical procurement will be crucial as you develop and implement cost-effective strategies, working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation. You'll also be responsible for identifying efficiencies, driving cost savings, and fostering continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Procurement Manager, Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement activities within the medical and surgical sector, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved procurement efficiency.
- Mentor and support the development of your team, while leading by example.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with relevant public sector procurement regulations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience in medical or surgical procurement.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and processes.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering measurable results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.
